HORRIBLE!

as a new story for "Dragon Ball"-fans, this kinda sucked.. mediocre at best.

as a standalone shortfilm/special - this was HORRIBLE!

what the hell?
Vegeta has a brother? and he's a kid? lol, how old was the kid, when Vegeta left for earth and aligned with Goku & Company? he must've been unborn, then right? so why is he acting like he met his brother before, when he finally meets him NOW?
dumb/silly and irritating puns/clichés everywhere in the story - you name it.
"let's make fun of Kame-Sennin and his interest in girls, Goku's interst in food just because WE HAVE TO. let's make it oh-so-familiar to all our old viewers" blah-blah-blah all that type of unnecesary stuff..

i'm glad to see that Toriyama-san agreed to have this special created for the Jump-celebration - but at least he could've read the script before, it made its way to the animators..

i still gave this short film a decent 5 in rating - beacuse of the fact, that it is "Dragon Ball" after all..

Well, actually Toriyama is to blame too since not only did he read the script, he actually co-wrote it.

Horrible says you? Great says I.

This short was great! It kept the ridiculous fighting to a minimum. It brought back the great humor the original DB was known for and better than most of the DBZ movies ... it had a plot! The reason it's like this is BECAUSEA Toriyama was actually involved. Just like he is on the new Battle of Gods movie. A lot of people have already said it's more like Dragon Ball than the later DBZ stuff. So you might hate that one too.

And as for Tarble - vegetas brother. He was his little brother yes. But not a kid. He's old enough to have a wife. He's just small. The same way krillin and choatzu are.
