Marla Sokoloff was ADORABLE, but the actual romance

needed some work. I just didn't like her romantic interest Stephen. They should have gotten someone else who she had real chemistry with, and made the audience feel more like they were falling in love.

BTW-did I mention how adorable Marla was as "Laurel"? I prefer seeing her to people like Jennifer Aniston who are in so many RomComs. She's more believable, beautiful without being a stick figure, and you genuinely find yourself rooting for her character. It was a nice distraction, but it could have had better male characters.

I agree. I was very happy when I saw her in the preview. LOVED her on the Practice and all the teen stuff I grew up with (Babysitter's Club, Full House). I think she carried the lead very well.

totally. I mean, I know it's hallmark...but STILL, chemistry is a nice thing to have.

Well, chemistry comes in different packages. Sometimes it's compatible, sometimes combustible. Compatible chemistry's more sweet and common, more on the "romantic" side, while combustible's more the "loving couple hated each other at first" more interesting style. Both sides work(LOL).

i agree about marla -- but i actually liked her love interest; the actor who in real life is from New Zealand w/a very adorble accent, i wish they would've let him use his real accent in the movie bc its so hot!! anyway marla knows how to make these rom coms, and i would LOVE to see her on the big screen again bc she is so talented and beautiful; i remember when james franco and marla sokoloff were an item - they were together for like 5 years, i would love for them to reunite; but i think she's married now ... anyhoo -- marla just rocks and so damn adorable.
