If u like this novela...

If you love Fernando Colunga as Eduardo, you should check out the original actor who played the character in the original colombian version named "Pura Sangre" in 2007. His name is Rafael Novoa and is a very good actor. He will eventually make a very small guest appearance in "manana es para siempre." they offered him the lead in manana es para siempre, but since he had just played the character in his native country, he was not seduced by the idea of playing eduardo again. i saw the columbian version in telefutura in 2007-march 2008. so, i can tell you that manana es para siempre will be a good story to the end if they don't deviate from the original. enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Blk150OpbKA

Will you tell me how it ends? I'm curious and I don't mind knowing- I'll still watch it!

both are good novelas, but i liked pura sangre more because of rafael novoa. he will later make a small appearance in meps as a character named miguel lascurain. i like the happy wedding at the end in novelas, but pura sangre had a nicer ending in my opinion than meps. it felt fresh and well handles. still, both novelas were well made. the couple ends up together in both. here is the ending for the couple in pura sangre

ella: dime tu nombre
el: eduardo
ella: el pirata de la bandera amarilla
el: perdoname
ella: te amo
el: como yo a ti... te amo

then, the hiena makes her final appearance

here is the ending for meps

Thanks for the info. You made me a little curious so I decided to look up De Pura Sangre but according to the summary I don't think MePS is a remake of this. Here is the summary:

In the small town of San Miguel Allende, the wealthy Don Alberto Duarte Solis passes away, much to the delight of gold-digging Leonardo, the fiancé of Don Alberto's only niece, Florencia. But to his horror, the bulk of Don Alberto's fortune is bequeathed instead to a stranger in Madrid, Alberto Salerno. Along with his uncle, Leonardo arranges to have Alberto framed for drug trafficking while en route to Mexico. He marries Florencia and urges her to challenge the will in Alberto's "mysterious" continued absence. But almost a year later, a fire at the prison allows an enraged Alberto to escape and he heads to San Miguel Allende with revenge on his mind.

you are right. meps is not a remake of mexico's pura sangre starring christian bach and humberto zurita.

i saw the version of christian and humberto, i can tell you that pura sangre from colombia is not a remake of it. pura sangre from colombia is an original production of the colombian network rcn. mexico's manana es para siempre is a remake of pura sangre from colombia. this is why in the closing credits of manana es para siempre they acknowledge rcn by showing a small picture of the colombian network's logo. mexico's televisa paid colombia's rcn for the rights to remake it. hope this info helps. :)

The Televisa novela I knew called La Jaula de Oro concerned a pair of twin girls who were separated at birth. One ended up in Miami, the other in Mexico. The Miami one died young, just as she was finding out about her sister. Her widower went to Mexico to investigate and discovered the surviving sister living on a beautiful estate, and married to a controlling man who kept her ignorant of the world outside. It starred Edith Gonzalez, Saul Lisazo, and Rene Casados.

The Fabio Principle: Puffy shirts look best on men who look even better without them.

in the 1980s de pura sangre from mexico starred christian bach and humberto zurita. it was good. i enjoyed it. the remake was in the 1990s called la jaula de oro from mexico. you are right about that. this version with edith and saul was not great. however, because i saw the version of christian and humberto, i can tell you that pura sangre from colombia is not a remake of it. pura sangre from colombia is an original production of the colombian network rcn. mexico's manana es para siempre is a remake of pura sangre from colombia. this is why in the closing credits of manana es para siempre they acknowledge rcn by showing a small picture of the colombian networks logo. mexico's televisa paid colombia's rcn for the rights to remake it. hope this info helps. :)
