Kristen Scott Thomas

Looks fine for a 50 year old. She could use a little help in the boob department, but what a fine-looking gal!

I wished another woman have had acted in this film. This woman is too old, too skinny and too bad looking. A younger fresher and prettier one would have been much better. I was afraid how her head looked like, like a skull with a very thin layer of skin.

Why always looks for some young little sweet girl perfect everywhere instead of a mature and simply gorgeous woman of her age? You have a lot of film with your type of girl. I appreciate the french movies because of that. It don't take just the young beauties to show and offer to woman over 45 years old the chance to do what hollywood don't show enough.

hi,

michele pfeiffer or demi moore, or sharon stone are also mid-aged. There are lot of hollywoodd films with actors like these. And most of them are well acted. They do their job well.

I know that there are some good actress more than 40 or even 45 but they are all ''rebuilt''... sorry i can't find another word but it's true. They have a body of a 30 something woman. so that's all i say that in french cinema, at least, i think they prefer a woman ''normally'' age. but i totally agree with you that in hollywood also you can act after 40. My best example is Meryl Streep it's for me the best american actress over 40 (She's 62 and so gorgeous). That's all i'm saying because the subject is on the look of Kristin Scott Thomas in this movie.

Yes and they've all had plastic surgery/botox. KST looks her age because she has not resorted to artifical means to pretend she's younger and unlike the women you name KST makes more films because it's her acting skill that stands out rather than her unnatural skin.

Women exist past their thirties and they also exist in other forms than being young and pretty. I can't really be any clearer than that. Why should she fit your definition of what someone should look like in a film? What about him? Maybe he should have been less hairy, more successful, less Spanish. Maybe this should have been The Notebook.

You must be here to fix the cable

KST is uber hot in this, and thankfully -not- botoxed.

Why would younger and fresher have been better?
Would younger and fresher have two teenage kids and the strain of those years on her face?
Would younger and fresher and yet still botoxed and plastic footballs in her chest, need to leave the stability and boredom of her charmed life for a real, earthy, passionate worker?
Wish away and make sure you stick to your fake US actors (eg Aniston/SJParker) who are so far removed from acting and have sold out to the surgeons, chat shows, airbrushed magazine covers that they can't remember why they ever got into 'acting'...
Oh that's right it wasn't to ACT, it was to perform the role of a plastic faced doll on any red carpet, gratefully advertising the latest Versace....looking 'young' and 'fresh' with the innards of a tired middle aged female who should really get a more fulfilling life investing in independent film makers, talented writers with scripts that stretch their repertoire.

When the main characters in a movie are not surgicalised and botoxed to the hilt, it's a relief because you want to understand more about them beyond what YOU (any viewer)would find personally attractive.
And the actors are humans you know, who really look like that..they have a right to love and exist (which, guess what , they do) and be thought of as beautiful by their lover.
And that is where the story lies......if you can go with the complete project.
It is more rewarding than having Halle Berry or Demi Moore mess up their hair to play a drug addict and have Ashton Kutcher fall in love with them in rehab...

She is, above all, a wonderful actress. The film has its flaws, but it's worth watching because of her.

Recently I watched "I've Loved You So Long", and she was absolutely amazing in it.
