Robert Parker's death

I was not aware that Robert Parker had passed in January of this year. I watched this movie with no idea that he was dead. I did notice in the opening credits that it stated "Written By: Tom Selleck".... but I saw another name, assumed it was Parker, but didn't look closely. At the end I saw the "in memoriam" notice with Parker's name. Very sad to hear or his passing. A great loss to the literary world. I will miss his books very much.

So did anyone else notice any difference in the writing or the "feel" of the story as it progressed? I didn't. Didn't seem any different. Of course now that I know Parker did not write the story I look back and think that maybe it wasn't as detailed or refined, but that could just be me.

Any others have anything to say on this?

Actually, I thought the writing was a good tribute to Parker's terse style. They kept to his short sentence structure even more than some of the previous films.
