Selleck really not getting credit he deserves as an actor

I watched him play Eisenhower very convincingly in the story of D-Day (well worth a rental or purchase).

He's acted wholly different figures involvced with the law as the p.i. in Magnum P.I., a NY police commissioner/family man in Blue Bloods and the broken ex-L.A. policeman, chief of a small town police force in the Jesse Stone series.

And I saw him be light and utterly charming as the recurring character in Friends - and in In and Out as the homosexual reporter with a crush on Kevin Kline.

His movement, the tone of his voice, the facial and physical gestures in these characters - all quite differ from each other.

It's remarkable how little the Michael Regan character in Blue Bloods is like Jesse Stone.

Tom Selleck has to be the most underrated actor who ever walked on the planet. He's brillant, also watchable and has tremendous range as a actor.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury signifying nothing.

"Michael Regan" is not on Blue Bloods. Selleck's character there is Frank Reagan.

And you gave her a land mine? Really?
Well, it seemed appropriate at the time.

Not sure looking miserable, staring out to the distance and talking slowly and quietly would give Pacino, De Niro, Day-Lewis sleepless nights!
