This movie can only be described as seeming...

AMAZING.

How about "fabulous"?

reply

It's does seem quite fabulous, doesn't it? Maybe even something a bit more?

reply

Maybe "double-plus fabulous"? It looks like it could be quite moving and daring. Hopefully it has more of an indie than a Hollywood feel. And I'm glad to see Sharon Gless in this! Hopefully this will live up to its promise.

reply

Won't we love it either way?

reply

I think I'll love it regardless, but I'll love it even more if it's not a cookie-cutter Hollywood romance (albeit a lesbian one).

reply

Agreed. I watched the trailor yesterday, and you know, it really looks pretty nicely put together.

The real trick for me is finding a theater that will be playing it.

reply

I'm glad you were able to see the trailer at least. I suspect distribution will be pretty limited, but if you're near an "arthouse" theater that probably helps. I know about this because it's playing at the San Francisco gay and lesbian film festival next month. I don't think I'll be able to see it then, but hopefully I can rent it soon.

reply

I've been trying to find some sort of an idea for a release date... no such luck though.

That would be sooo cool if you got to see it at the gay and lesbian film festival. You would def. have to tell me how it was.

reply

Will do. It's supposed to show on June 28. I'll probably have to work that night, but I'll let you know if I see it!

reply

It's almost a year since we talked, but I finally saw "Hannah Free." It's very good – sort of like a lesbian-themed Tennessee Williams production. It's very indie and minimalist, and it feels like a stage play at times, but it's worthwhile for Sharon Gless' remarkable performance.

Did you ever see it?

reply

I think it looks good too. My friend's voice teacher is in it. She plays the adult Rachel. =]

It was extremely well done.
