I started to watch this on PBS but got waylaid by something so I got it on Netflix and I expected something different.
Why did PBS have to mess with such an excellent series? Why did you have Laura Linney at the beginning to introduce it? We can understand - we're not idiots!
This wasn't made by the BBC for Masterpiece Theatre so why didn't you let us have it the way they edited with the F bombs left in and the Goddam left in and without the silly Masterpiece Theatre credits at the end?
There was a wonderful sound track to this and it would have been wonderful to hear it at the end instead of the Micky Mouse PBS Masterpiece Theatre theme music.

Co-sign. The DVD was abysmal... and god the Laura Linney intros were horrible. And the editing! Who the *beep* ever heard of a censored DVD? God, what a disgrace.

Ive seen Laura Linney introduce a few of these type movies
So they must have hired to be the introducer to the film
