Hosting custom maps on ranked (360)

Over the past couple of weeks I have seen people hosting custom maps on ranked. Everytime; however, I try to host any of these maps the game does not recognize them as approved for ranked. Could anybody tell me how to host custom maps on ranked for the 360?
