Why the @#$% do they all want to kill me?

This game is beautiful. But it's completely ruined by the fact everyone seems to hate me. Makes a trip halfway across the map a painful chore.

And the respawning! At last let me get 200 yards away before you all miraculously come back to life and continue hating me for no reason. Grrrrrrrrrr!
