Loved the Message in this Movie!

I saw this film this weekend, and was blown away. It has been such a long time since I walked out of a movie being moved that deeply. Now in reading comments (here and other websites), I've got to point out something. Why do some of you have a problem with the devil being in it? Look around you! The devil is ruling America! Good vs. Evil (and yes, I mean Satan), has been around since the beginning of time. Remember the story of Adam & Eve? One of Satan's biggest deceptions is convincing humanity that he doesn't exist. Those of you Christians who have a problem with the devil being in this movie are playing right into his hands! You're upset that he was given screen time? Look at all of the other movies, tv shows, etc that are out there! They may not have the devil portrayed as a character, but he certainly is present via porn, bad language, violence and drugs. This movie puts the devil in his place through biblical teachings. How on earth can Christians have a problem with that?

I wish this movie played the devil's trick on me and made like it didn't exist. It, along with its fans, seem to be so utterly self-righteous and holier-than-thou.

And are you saying Obama is the devil? ("The devil is ruling America!"(above)) Because he doesn't want to wage war on everyone? Jeez, you have some idea of peaceful existence.

This movie has bad words and violence in it, people! The father, Vince, beats some guy on the ground! WTF? And the hard-core fans keep bashing (violently, I might add) other films for having bad words and violence! Ah, more hypocritical self righteousness abound.

Finally someone who agrees with me!! I loved the message in this movie!! And what is so wrong about how the devil was portrayed? And u have a good point too.

Your post doesn't say much for your taste in film. I am a Christian, and I will be boycotting this film. I will NOT continue to support sub-par Christian propaganda. It's always ineffective, there is never any substance, and everyone always gets saved in the end (just like in real life!).

The Apostle. The Passion of The Christ. The Joyriders. Magnolia.

All films with faith-based themes that get the point across in a competent, professional way...

I wish I knew what was wrong with you. I'll just have to cut it short and say everything.

To the OP: you want to see a good scary movie about spiritual warfare and the great battle between good and evil? Watch The Conjuring. And it's based on a true story. It's much better than this pile of crap.

Don't let anyone ever make you feel like you don't deserve what you want.

No, you don't get it. Acknowledging Satan at all will instantly make everybody within a 66.6 mile radius lose their souls, don't you know?
