It's nothing like the first film

Beside being an Anti-Trump film it doesn't compare to the first film or any of the other Borat skits during the Ali G Show.

In many parts it's completely unfunny and badly executed even Sacha seems to have lost his Borat act.

And while the first film did better at making us believe that everything is really filmed the way it is with guest and people this one fails to accomplish that atmosphere.

It's different from the first, but it is still pretty funny and entertaining.

I agree, especially his sidekick, the fat guy added a lot of comic elements in the first movie. Then most of the scenes with his daughter felt so forced, it made me cringe a couple of times.
Also this wasnt a real borat movie since he couldnt be borat, the other "costumes" just werent funny.

Ditto einstein. Agree with every word you said. I missed Azamat in this film a lot. He was what made the first movie very funny. This whole daughter plot was indeed too forced and cringy, didn’t work here at all. What they needed instead was- a monkey! Yeah, a trained monkey who would travel with him across the good ol’ U. S of A and “star” in porn movies, and have all kinda mishaps on the road. That would’ve been much funnier!

Great idea with the monkey! That would have been a great source of laughters :)

reply

Amazing idea, everyone wants to see a monkey for an hour and a half doing monkey stuff.

From the trailer it looks like he's combining the sort of stuff he was doing in his last TV show where he was dressing up and meeting people i.e. O.J. Simpson, with the first Borat movie. I'm honestly not expecting it to be as funny as his earlier stuff which is always my expectation of sequels, but I'll still watch it and expect some good laughs.

reply

No one wants to see a comedy sequel that's the same as the first one.

reply

That's not what I really meant smarty.
