Virginia Woolf?

Caught this film at a festival and was intrigued by the interplay between the story and the character's performance in Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf. Great performance by Paprika Steen as an actress playing an actress whose life is confused by the lines of the real and the reel. Wonder what Albee would think of it?

It's funny, I didn't catch that when I saw it - it's been years since I saw the film version of Virginia Woolf. That being said, I think she was wonderfully intense in that stage performance.

If what you're saying is true...then I still don't care

I totally agree! Paprika definitely showed intensity at its best!

Paprika was incredible in her Virginia Woolf performance in Applause. It really demonstrates how well she gets into her character wholeheartedly.
