Do you think Sarah Jessica Parker is attractive?

I'm just curious. Opinions?

reply

No.

Then again, my type is Ellen Page, Ellen Muth, and Carey Mulligan, so I'm probably not the one to ask.

Females with androgynous, prepubescent bodies =/= attractive.

As much as I love her- no. It's like did she get surgery on her jaw or something? She looks so different from her older movies- I remember thinking she was pretty in Hocus Pocus.

I have always loved SJP. I think she's really cute. But her personality makes her beautiful. She's such a sweetheart.

My sentiments exactly!

no appeal to me

reply

her looks are fine, but if her personality is anything like it is in this movie or like her annoying character in SITC, I feel very sorry for Matthew Broderick!

reply

The ugliest leading actress in Hollywood, which is saying something. Even when she was younger, she would be what you would call a plain Jane. No disrespect for anyone called Jane.

Fancy seeing you on this thread.

In my experience, it would seem that women think she's attractive, but men don't.

... and you!

She's not ugly, but there's 'Hollywood leading lady' attractive, and then there's judging by ordinary person on the street standards... She isn't 'Hollywood leading lady' attractive, which is refreshing, I suppose, given that she still gets roles.

I'm just looking for excuses to skive off writing a report for work.

I woke up at 1am following a nightmare, so watched this film off 'anytime' for a bit of light relief! I fell back to sleep before the end, but won't be in any desperate hurry to see how it worked out, as I think I can probably guess...! (And it was pretty shi-ite. )

I completely agree with your point about different standards of 'attractiveness', and can totally see why people perceive SJP as not up to scratch, as she doesn't have typically 'perfect' features. However, I think she has that "something about her" thing going on, which makes her very attractive, and I reckon that it's something men generally don't see in her, but women do. You're not the first bloke I've had this conversation with.

Yes, it was pretty poor, and you're not missing much!

Maybe she does have an inner quality to do with the way she carries herself... but I can honestly say that I've never looked at her closely enough to find out!
