Dreadful

What a pretentious, shallow, self-indulgent waste of time and talent. Poor Edie Falco. Poor every actor in the film. It wasn't just that the film was projected with the sound too high, the sound effects were overdone and overwrought, designed to make you jump out of your seat, setting you up for something important which never happens. The music score was irritating and intrusive. Though the cinematography was often beautiful, the editing and directing were so sophomoric and self-conscious that I had all to do to keep from leaving. Nothing wrong with the themes and the intent, but these subjects have been handled so much better so often.

I completely disagree. I found the movie inspiring and thought provoking. The scenery and music were both haunting and suspenseful as well as beautiful. You knew that this wouldn't be a western or a typical blockbuster. I went with an open mind and saw how a real film director and writer hones his craft and produces a film from an interesting and unique perspective.

I totally agree with you on the music. The use of lighting and nature had the same effect - haunting, still, suspenseful yet still beautiful with movement.

I noticed that even though we had background noise in the film, the film was absent of background sound (other than the airplane), this absence of sound left the same void and even eerie sensation. Nature took the forefront in many scenes - from the grass, chirping birds and sun through the tree's.

Overall, I have yet to sum up this film and enjoyed it more for what I didn't see than for what I did - and mostly, for the lighting, music and ambiance - definitely will agree that this film is a mood piece. A moment captured in time, to be savored or swallowed rapidly - viewers choice.

agreed! one of those movies only wannabe intellectuals with a below average iq can enjoy.

I found it pretty thin. Like, art house film without the art.

I just wish I read your comments before I saw this rotten film and you what else: Your wrote a very descriptive comment on why this film stinks so much! Most people would just say IT'S THE WORST FILM EVER MADE but you verified why it STANK!

LOL. Dave I am still waiting to figure out what the hell this was about. I kept waiting for something to happen; and nothing did. It was like they were going somewhere but never got there. It had potential, but it never reached it. Like the producers started out with a plot but hadn't gotten around to the ending, and then the budget ran out, so they decided, "what the hell, let the viewers figure out the rest. On to my next project." So disappointed especially in the ending where nothing got any explanation. Glad I saw this on Netflix while lying on my bed. What if I had paid money to see this?

This is my signature and I'm sticking to it. lol

The ability to always see the worst in people and situations is often a hiding place for fear.
