This was WAY better than the original.

Yeah right!

This remake is the biggest heap of doo-doo I've seen in a long time. It failed in all departments, so bad in fact that I wouldn't award it more than the obligatory single star even though I enjoyed the music.

I can't quite understand why Nick Love would choose to remake the Clarke/Oldman classic if he couldn't bring something fresh and exciting to it. Oldman was QUALITY in the grittier Clarke original. To be fair the bloke playing him was always going to struggle with the inevitable comparison. And what was the deal with that dumb version of the 'Yeti'? It is me, or doesn't Yeti = Snowman, hence bright blonde haired villain (in the original), yet (no pun intended) in this movie the Yeti is a dark-haired bloke that would struggle to frighten a cat out of his front garden. And don't get me started on the ending, which was simply ridiculous!

This movie was style over substance in a big way. Clothes, music, mockney cockney, and nothing else! Love would have done better releasing a compilation CD.

Talking about that: Why can't I find the original on IMDb? Ran across it on Wikipedia but it seems to have been completely ignored here which is unusual seeing as it's been described by some as Gary Oldman's greatest role.
