Theres no way Allison would've survived

She got her throat slashed wide open, was laying in a giant pool of blood with her eyes wide open, and the drive from the academy in town to that remote cabin out in the wilderness is a long ass drive, it took Allison all day to get there from town.

Are you telling me they drove all the way back to the academy and kept Allison alive that entire time? Theres no way, that was a big eye roll moment for me, maybe if they got her to the ER that near the cabin, maybe, even then i would still kinda question it, but to get her all the way from the wilderness to back in town to the academy alive was way too big of a stretch.

reply

Well, they are kind of superheroes.

Allison just has the power of persuasion, she hasn't got any healing abilities, and none of her siblings had any kind of power to keep her alive or get her to town quick.

reply

It was a swipe cut not a pressing cut so it would have mostly cut the larynx because that sticks out forward in your neck, not the jugular vein which is more on the side of the throat.

reply

I heard a person survived having her throat slashed by stuffing mud into the wound and walking to a hospital!

reply

I think everyone should have died because every person with a machine gun in this series apparently failed at the academy.

I do not mean they failed at the police academy but Stormtrooper U.

reply

I'm surprised she didn't get the gorilla serum treatment. Although... I kinda felt she deserved it. Rumoring someone against their will I would say is like violating them. That was self defense.

reply

Vanya was dangerous and unhinged, Allison was justified in using her power in that moment.

It wasn't anything like rumoring her husband to love her, or movie producers to give her roles.

reply

Or her daughter to go to sleep?

I hate to make the stand your ground comparison but... how do you go into someone's house, they tell you to leave multiple times then try to forcibly control them. By the way Vanya was calm by that point, Allison was the one antagonizing her. Maybe if this was an open fight on a neutral site it would be different, but Allison just escalated the situation.

reply

And you mean you wouldn't care if your sibling was in the company of a serial killer??

Besides, it comes off as really strange how you are all up in arms about Allison's conduct, but somehow totally fine with Vanya slicing her throat in response.

reply

I think killing someone is a perfectly fine response to someone trying to control your mind. Your mind is all you have, losing control of that is terrifying. Besides, Vanya being in danger was just Allison's opinion... and she was clearly wrong in her assessment.

To me this is like someone trying to give you a lobotomy against your will. There is no justification for that unless you are engaged in some kind of combat with an enemy.
