That would be really interesting at a few thousand frames/second.. While their at it, they can demonstrate some scary ass charge in the tank-caps discharging, and dispell the myth that the danger inside an unplugged TV is mythical..:)
shareMythbusters did something similar with CRTs at with high-speed cameras.
Also CRTs the danger is mythical. do you know how much force does it take to implode a CRT? you could drop it off a building and it probably wont get there. Mythbusters had to change the tactic to get the result since slamming it with a sledgehammer didnt even dent it. these things were resistant as hell.
