Pathetic

As of now, there are 2 pages of reviews, and EVERY single one is a 10-star review written by a user with 1 review in their history. I will not give this film a chance because of this obvious planting.

How can you see no problem with it, unless you wrote them yourself? There's no integrity in it, it's sketchy, and it's dishonest. They don't mean what they're writing, they're only doing it to get paid or because they're friends with the filmmakers.

your right, its not dishonest, its misleading. i had my good friend look over these reviews, he is a University lecture, and holds a PHD.

he sees hundreds of papers every year. its his job to analyse the papers and pick up on plagiarising. it is his opinion that there are perhaps 4, but probably 2 or 3 authors to all of these reviews.

Some of the evidence:

The star ratings- all identical,

The accounts- none have a pervious review record. Nearly all are from the states. ALL are from Major cities, witch is statistically unlikely.

The writing style: to similar to be coincidence; many are opened with “I know I’m an expert” lines such as:
“As a criminal investigator with thirty years of experience” or “As a person diagnosed with HIV for over 16 years, and never once taking the drugs” or “As someone who has followed the scientific debates regarding the cause of AIDS since the early 1990's”.

Planting?! Seriously mate snap out of it. I being one of those people you spoke about am actually shocked at your finger pointing. The reason a concerted effort of people started rating this film so highly is WE ACTUALLY SAW IT.

We had noticed this film, even though only having a very limited release previously, had SCORES of votes early on giving it ONE star. On one of the film's fan pages I actively encouraged viewers to join IMDB and vote accordingly.

If anything this film's rating are unfairly 'weighted' towards those who have an agenda to slate this film. Think about it: currently 121 voters think this film is above a 5 star rating. 50 think think film is 5 stars or below. That's an arithmetic mean of 7.3 stars but IMDB goes for a 'weighted' mean of 4.7 stars.

IF there is such a conspiracy as you say then the full blown effect is raising the perceived ratings of this film have been negligible. Sorry but a 4.7 would hardly be a successful 'campaign' in anyone's books.

Forget all this nay-saying and see the film folks. It won loads of film awards from critics who actually bothered to see it.

More lies. Critics hated it. Read the other posts in this thread that explain why you're a plant/crew member.

So now I'm schizophrenic or something?! You don't know me nor have any understanding about what drives me to uphold this story of compassion. I am a real person with a real story to tell and I will not be silenced. As I've mentioned in my review I saw this film at a film festival and this is my closest association with anyone to do with the film. Any member of the public could have done the same as I had as it was at a very very busy cinema in central London.

Beware readers of anyone that ever tells you how disreputable someone else is instead of arguing the finer points of the discussion. Be part of the turning of the tide! Ask questions. Find YOUR truth.
