yeah, it's run by a load of nepotism *beep* & jonathan woss wants *beep* shooting.

"what do you think of him?"
"i think he's a *beep* peasant!"

see you at the movies baby...

reply

typical *beep* from the bbc. do they even beleive the crap that they say? The woman hadnt even seen the film merely clips. If she had seen the film it doesnt glamourise guns or violence at all compared to most other films out there. Stupid people

reply

amen. guns kill people. it was guns killing people that gave that bitch her freedom of speech. its guns that ultimately back up her civil rights and you know what ... its freedom of speech the directors using to push popcorn and tickets.
real talk. wtf. if white people want to play gangsters you dont get this. if black people do it on screen... oh no. this is the *beep* bbc patronising the poor ignorant black children. like anyones gonna go buy a gun cos danny dyers got one. *beep* wits. if britain had a more diverse culture to buy into maybe youd get black kids growing up wanting to be priminister instead of raping american culture for the power and the glory. if the bbc didnt whitewash the east end of london 4 nights a week maybe youd have people identifying with british 'culture' instead of alienated by it. and if they made more black british urban/gangster films maybe people would see there lives reflected in perspective instead of neglected and disrespected. *beep* it. i like this film.

I think you have serious psychiatric problems. What on earth are you on about? From where do you get the notion that "it was guns killing people that gave that bitch her freedom of speech"? When did that happen, then? And "its guns that ultimately back up her civil rights". How do you work that one out?

"raping american culture for the power and the glory." Do you know what the word rape means? And who on earth wants any part of their "power and glory"?

You have a real chip on your shoulder regarding race, judging by a 60-second look at your post history. Why is it everyone else's fault that you are a loser and a misfit? Why don't you take responsibility for your own life?

The giveaway is the fact that you are the one who obviously feels alienated by British culture. I know many people from every side of the racial spectrum, and I've only really heard this from a few black kids. Loser kids, just like you.

The last thing we need is more "black british urban/gangster films". Just about all of the random gun violence here is carried out by disaffected black kids who believe they are 'disrespected'. Respect is something you have to earn, not something which is yours as a right. Operation Trident mean anything to you?

Get over yourself, will you?

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag....

Or something like that.

Spoken like a real tosser. You just have no idea what you're talking about, instead you parrot something you read in a comic book. You don't even have the ability to write your own response, you just quote what someone else has written. In this case a former Senator from Alabama, which is ironic given the nature of these posts.

All soldiers have given you is their blood. And taken yours in return. It's been a long time since soldiers were actually needed, and that's never been more true than it is today.

Writing this in a thread about black gangs and gun crime shows where your head is at. Must be very dark in there.

right. my race aint an issue. [pretty racist comment tho thinking i am black], nor is my status [ba grad and PAID film maker, and not weddings either]nor is my subject. nor is the ridiculous words of some internet clown who doesnt even know me. stop being a bitch and deal with the real issue.
bbc is not anti violence [war films], its not anti urban violence [get carter through micheal caine], its anti this film because of the mix of guy richie glorification and black people. now if its on a film like bullet boy or even kidulthood its a harder target. its the mix of glorification and black people that ties into urban gun crime. and yeah gur richies films had black people, but they werent in the positions of power that 50cent and asher d represent in this film.
take of your glasses and take a deeper look. and yeah it dont matter what people may say, it is soldiers who ultimitaley guarantee our freedom. that and icbms and being americas bitch. also the soldier gets his weapon from the tax payer. jenson dont win f1 in a ford. the british army dont go over there untrained and unarmed do they. without the economy the army always falls. lastly and this is a mute point these days but civies have always represented the bulk of the armed forces in a true threat to these shores.
britains mono culturalism v americas multiculturalism has always been a cultural issue for second generation imigrants. americas *beep* does have its attractions. afterall we all follow them ultimately dont we.
when people say if they dont like it why dont they just *beep* off back to... why are we 'they'. surely if your born here and not english, its your country too and you can be in, make, or watch any damn film you like without the bbc patronising on your arse.

BA graduate and paid filmmaker. Right. You are a dumb sack who writes incoherent garbage. I don't even know what your post is actually about, except for the baloney about soldiers.

If you're that keen go and join up. Or try, anyway. They won't take you, and of course that will be just another thing for you to hate on.

You feel patronised? Grow up, then people won't have to watch out for you like a three-year old. And if the BBC's output upsets you ask Mummy to change the channel to the Teletubbies.
