It really blows my mine that an established actor like Billy Zane is still doing bit parts in um...cute movies like this one. I just saw him in Attack on Darfur, and he more than held his own in an intense movie, and it just makes me wonder why he even bothers with superfluous roles like this one.

I actually liked this film and dont care one little bit that Billy Zane was doing something different for a change (an annoying greedy dad who was struggling to do the right thing by his daughter, but he actually meant well).
I was surprised to see Steve Guttenburg as one of the buffoon baddies, what has he done eh since the Police academy films ?
But this was/is a good likeable kids and adults film about adventure, and finding lost gold treasure for all the right reasons.
