Is there a reason the Netflix disc doesn't contain special features?

Rented the Blu-ray from there and it didn't have any special features, but the Blu-ray is supposed to have some. I didn't think Sony Pictures copies usually did rental only versions without the special features like other studios but maybe I'm wrong.
