'The Mines'

I'm completely stuck in THE MINES level. I'm right after the mine cart part where you have to jump at the midway point. There's a X2 part right above where I am. Every time I jump down onto the rollers, I fall into the flames. I don't see the next waypoint anywhere. Anyone having this same problem?

Finally figured that out a couple days back. Thanks for the advice though. Sometimes "video game common sense" eludes me.
