What's so great about it?

I'm not trolling here. I know a certain percentage of you saw my subject and immediately took it personally.

I'm really asking the question.

When the game first came out, my reaction was...
"Hrm, it looks really shallow. Oh, but it's multiplayer? And you can make your own levels? Eh, I probably still won't get it."

Then I read a bunch of positive reviews talking about how fun it was.
"I guess I'll buy it."

Then after playing it for a couple of hours...
"The narration by Steven Fry was really cool. The graphics are cute. Making your own levels is neat, but I didn't get too far into it."

Here's my guess, and let me know if I'm right.

-Is it the kind of game you have to play with people? As in, it's not that fun otherwise? (I feel that way about Rock Band)

-Also, I know they talked up the level creation as the main event. Is it really?

I'm asking all this because as soon as May 24th, I'll have the opportunity to get it for free on Playstation Network (I sold my old copy). I tried looking for one reviewer who agreed with me that it was boring and I couldn't find one.

So maybe I judged too quickly. Let me know if my two bullet points up there make sense.
