Has This Movie Been Released?

If it hasn't been released as yet, how come clips from it have already ended up on YouTube?

The film is playing the Festival circuit. It just closed the 55th San Francisco International Film Festival. I just posted a review. As of three days ago, it has not yet landed a distribution deal. It deserves one.

The Wrap just announced in an article dated Mar. 13, 2013 that the Documentary got a distributor last summer and it was being released that week--mid-March 2013. I am looking for it every week. Can't wait to see it. When Arnel told his story on CBS Sunday Morning before he started touring with Journey in 2008, his story had everyone in tears, including himself---talk about your Fairy Tales. I made my son, who was starting high school in 1987 and a huge Journey fan, to sit down and listen to Steve Perry sing "Don't Stop Believin'" and then Arnel sing it and tell me which was which. He couldn't do it. Then we compared every other hit and the results were the same. When you watch him perform you know he is putting his heart and soul into the performance. He hasn't gone Rock Star--he remains humble and grateful for the "miracle" he is living. He deserves every good thing he receives. He is using his money to help other homeless youth now also.

I watched this twice on Pay-Per-View today. As a Journey fan and lover of Steve Perry, I was skeptical, but I loved every single minute of it. What a rags to riches story for Arnel Pineda. He is absolutely incredible, deserving, humble, articulate, adorable, and amazing, and so loving and lovely and grateful for what has happened to him.

What a voice. He can sing anything, not just Journey. This film left me in tears and so happy for his success, and for Journey. Steve Perry is the one who decided not to come back to the band years ago. I never thought anyone could take his place and I never listened to anything they did with their other singer(s) in between Steve Perry and Arnel. Neil Schon is an absolutely amazing guitarist and the rest of the band are incredible...they seem like really great guys, and are so supportive of Arnel. You can tell how much they love him and are proud of him.

I'm so happy that they have this success again...and as they said, even more international than ever before, new material, and not just being a former version of themselves. I can't believe in one afternoon I have absolutely fallen in love with this band all over again, but especially with Arnel Pineda (doesn't change my love for Steve Perry..still adore him). I can't tell you how moved I was by this film.

Remember us, for we too have lived, loved and laughed
