Shame on you, Brian Henson

Not only have you destroyed your father's legacy and good name by making an R-rated Muppet movie, but you also ripped off Roger Rabbit, but with Muppets instead of cartoons

CONGRATULATIONS! You are the FIRST butthurt titty baby on the Happytime board!

Brian Henson has destroyed NOTHING. What would destroy Jim Henson's legacy would be to use his beloved known characters in a movie of this nature. It looks (to me) like there has been great effort to NOT soil these characters by using them in this film. No Kermit. No Miss Piggy. No Fozzy. No Gonzo, Animal or Scooter. The characters used here appear to be created SPECIFICALLY for The Happytime Murders.

Get over it. Just opt not to watch it. Easy peasy!

reply

Just saying, if Jim was still alive, he never would have approved this

This movie has nothing to do with The Muppets or Sesame Street. I'm looking forward to it, the trailer was funny.

reply

This looks funny. I'll watch it.

The tagline tho'...

melissa mccarthy is played out

Me,too. Finally a cynical, funny film about the 80s, not some "tribute" featuring Muppet Bbaies..

reply

Oh yeah. His father's legacy is destroyed. Yep. And there is shame. OK.
Here is your homework, OP. Watch "Meet the Feebles" 1989 by Peter Jackson. It is a puppet show that parodies the Muppet Show. There is a Vietnam vet knife thrower lizard who has a smack habit, a bunny host who gets a major std, a drug dealing stage manager rat, and a shit eating fly reporter. Lots of horrible murder in it too. See if you can sit through that without getting your jimmies rustled permanently.
