''If you ever need me, I'm only a phone call away.''

(Warning possible spoiler)

Half-way through the epic that is 'Never Surrender,' the mysterious MMA fighter Georges tells the hero, Diego, to call him if he ever needs any help (as in fighting the bad guys). After Georges was so prominent in the beginning of the film (then disappeared until this moment of man-love at the films mid-point) as he watched Diego running “humbly” on TV, from his mansion whilst he made a sandwich in his kitchen; the audience expected this open invitation to allow him to return at the action climax.

But Georges was never seen or referred to again. Instead at the shoot-out/climatic brawl Diego calls (on the very phone that he could've called Georges) some non-talking, never-previously seen or even mentioned geriatric 1930's style Chicago mobsters with Tommy-guns to shoot the bad guys!?!?

Awesome!
