"Soul"

Nice series, but as the religious soul retardness started it was unwatchable.
People, get over it. There is nothing like a soul in the real world. No soul, just self consciousness brains.

Maybe that's the point - a theme within the show.

People whom believe in the soul vs other's that don't believe in it. It's merely about spirituality vs logic and reasoning BUT without emotion.

*Regardless of the above, I know consciousness can exist outside of the mind, the body.

Dr. Elizabeth Kubler Ross, who created the science of thanatology, the study of death, performed a series of experiments, all with the same methodology. She placed terminal people on extremely precise scales. After the moment of death, they ALL weighed precisely 21 grams (7 grams less than 1 ounce) less than they did when they were living. Something other than life left them. What left them was their soul, contained in its ectoplasmic vessel. Look it up. This is not subject to discussion.

reply

It's not subject to discussion ... it's just hogwash.

The "weight loss" was impossible to replicate with any consistency. Plus, it doesn't even make sense that "souls" would have actual weight. That'd mean they're material, and therefore bound by the same laws of physics that effectively rule them out

reply

Kubler Ross replicated it. Souls may or may not have weigh, but the astral bodies that are their vessels, that carry them up through through the astral planes, do.

About that, I forgot to mention that you seem to be confused about Kubler-Ross. She was a psychiatrist, famous for the "stages of grief." Nothing at all to do with the "21 grams."

Look it up

In other news, a supermarket tabloid told me that they accidentally discovered hell when doing some deep underground drilling operations in Siberia and did some audio monitoring which recorded the terrible screams from eternal torment.
