Does anyone know the name of the classical piece played during Stephen Fry's introduction to Mount Rushmore? Thanks.
shareas the editor of this prog its so nice that there have been requests to know about various bits of music.the music here i can tell you was bernard herrmans great score (arent they all) for north by northwest-a movie which featured mount rushmore.not perhaps the most original choice but it seemed to match stephen s humourous approach to this tourist hotspot.i can assure you it was one of the most absorbing projects of my career

With so many people asking questions about the music in the series, have you considered putting a list together somewhere of the most significant pieces used? Adam Curtis is always a great sport about this and lists the music used in his films.
I myself am very curious what the piece (or pieces) used in the hot air balloon sequence was. It sounds like something Hitchcock, but I'm not sure.
