Doesn't the subsequent murder of girl in Peru change everything?

In the movie her mother accepted the seizure story as the truth and had found peace.

However, he then murdered a girl in Peru which makes it seem more likely that he murdered Natalee rather than she was killed by a seizure. we know he's capable of murder.

So did anything happen with the Natalee investigation as a result of that? Or did her mother react to that in any way? I'm not familiar with this case the movie was the first time ive heard of it

I think anything that comes out of Joran's mouth is a lie and can't be believed. I don't think anyone will ever know the truth because even if he decides to one day eventually say it how can he be trusted?

After he beat Stephany in the hotel room it's so chilling to think of what he could of done to Natalee. I really feel for her family.

It's doubtful Natalee was sold as a sex slave. Everything the 3 guys said during questioning was most likely true, happens all the time even convicted serial killers after hours of interrogation admit to the truth and then recant. Natalee drank way too much, and made a bad decision to get into the car with the men and then paid for it with her life.

An 18 year old girl in another country, heavily intoxicated... People from other countries hate Americans, it's no surprise what the outcome was.

Well, fun thing is: he said he sold Natalee as a sex slave, he was caught in Thailand (iirc) doing just that.
Natalee died (supposedly by his hand) and he killed Stephany Flores (she has a name)

So he is capable of both things.

There was an undercover camera operation in which he "confessed" to what really happened, he later recanted.

There is more to Joran, what i do not know.. I do think him as a sociopath/psychopath. I also believe his father knew.
I also think that he told the truth in one of those "confessions", to whom though? He is certainly arrogant enough (and a good liar) to have done just that.. He is also smart enough to know that when he has spun his web of lies, no one will ever find out which one of them was/is true, and whatever he tells in the future will also be doubtful because of that.

When Natalee is found, truth will be known, if she will be found is a whole different matter though..

No, it seems Joran completely spiraled out of control. I can believe that Natalee's death was unintentional, while that Peruvian girl died because Joran just believed he could get away with anything.
