I enjoy the show as well (I have been watching it on Netflix Streaming) but I do find a lot of the comments by the investigators off putting. A lot of time I get the impression they are making statements with knowledge they gained in hindsight.
For example, in "Sin" a woman is killed in church. She was shot in the head then in the temple. An investigator states that how she was killed shows the killer hated the victim. On other shows killers who hate the victim go overboard on the killing by stabbing or shooting them several times more than is needed. In "Sin" it looks like the killer just did what needed to be done. Could it have been a failed robbery attempt? No, the investigators basically told the story as if they knew the motivation of the killer and their proof was the evidence. Proof of which means something else in other investigations. It turned out the killed was jealous and did not like the victim at all.
To me, it just makes the investigators seem like they are smarter than they actually are. I would rather have them tell us what they actually thought it could be, have them be proven wrong then go with plan B and be correct.
Me too been watching it on Amazon Prime on my Roku (streaming thingy). Great stories and very well done!
