Jill & Derick, Baby Dillard #2 in 2017

I guess Jill's expecting Baby #2 in July 2017. Now I wonder how that'll effect their ministry in CE, but I guess we'll have to see. lol (Agewise though Israel & Baby #2 will be spaced reasonably apart, at 28 mo or so.)

We can pretty much expect them state side likely for a year. Between Zika and her previous pregnsncy issues, I don't see them having this baby in Central America. If they do return it will be when the baby is a few months old like Israel was. If they do return, which I have my doubts, I could see them returning to lead the December 2017 tourist, I mean volunteer, group.

LOL True. Probably not until late 2017 or early 2018. Hopefully they didn't actually leave anything too important at their place down in Central America. Though I suppose Derick could still go down there to fetch anything if need be.

I don't think that would be wise. Can't men carry the Zika virus and pass it through intercourse (oops taboo word) to their spouse, and therefore possibly harm the unborn child. I don't think they would even risk any family member going there on a mission trip or even just traveling there to pick up their things. Too many unknowns. What if a family member got bit? I don't know how long mosquitos live but what if one got in their luggage and made it to their home. Better to just leave everything there until Derek, Jill, Israel, and new baby are safe to go back. And with Jill's 1st pregnancy, they better be safe because if she has to have to have another C-section she is really limiting the number of babies she will be able to have in her lifetime.

They lived down there for ten months and were actively trying to get pregnant at the time. I highly doubt they would be concerned about him going down for a few days now. You are expecting this family to think rationally. The only reason I brought up Zika is Jill would be worried about herself. These two don't show enough rational thinking to show they comprehend other risks. Or they would not have taken an infant who could not have had all his immunization to Central America, or try actively getting pregnant with Zika running around.

Oh Derick & Jill think they're like this couple, (who in some ways aren't that unusual) who used the woman's 10 month maternity leave to go back packing around the world with their infant daughter in 2015 & 16.
