The plane to London

How was that single engine plane Martin Sheen was flying supposed to take Keira Knightly all the way to London from New Jersey. I think it would have run out of gas and crashed before even clearing Nova Scotia en route. Maybe he was flying it to a large airport where he and Keira were going to jack a Boeing 777 and then fly to Heathrow?

Good thing they turned around. It's 3400 miles and they bumped up the end a week - even if they had the fuel time would have run out. Realistically, people do fly small planes to Europe from the US by way of Canada, Iceland, Greenland. Not quite as easy as hopping on a jet and napping until you get there.

This stuck out to me as well. As the other post says, flying from New England to Old England is possible on small airplanes. However, the plane looked to be a Cessna 152, which certainly could not handle even the shortest of the legs of the trip.

I like to think the dad was taking her to his Gulfsteam at Teterboro and flying her in that non-stop to Heathrow. That means his "daily driver" is a Cessna but his "real car" is a G550. And that is awesome.
