Makes me think of our own personal demises.

We find the whole notion of the world ending for them so wild. This idea reemphasized for myself the fact that humans often see death as not a personal reality that happens to them, but as one that only happens to others. Even though logically we know our fate, we do not tend to live this way. This concept can be motivating as it was for the characters in the film, or it can be a depressing realization that our inner world is limited.
