Beware the Curse of the First Husband, Joshua

Anyone else notice how the first husbands all meet untimely demises in this series? All I gotta say is, Beware, Joshua. If Lillian doesn't right quick marry someone before you then you're doomed to be the first husband to a woman in the Davis line. That really bugs me over all but as long as I see certain movies as a completely unrelated story, then I can enjoy them. If I try to put them into a series to watch then I get annoyed all over again.

Yes, life was hard and many men died more often in those times. But come on. Every single generation has to lose husband number one? I'm telling ya. Those Davis women are cursed. And they're not even blood related. How do you figure that one?

I know what you mean, Lily! This weekend I saw Love Takes Wing and now I'm watching Love Finds a Home. I was so disppointed to find that Drew was dead. In some circles they would call that karma. I wonder how closely the tv series follows the book series?

The books and the movies differ quite a bit. The only movie that kinda goes by the book is Love Comes Softly but after that the movies kinda take on a life of their own. Especially the last two movies.
