last one

Is this the last one because on the hallmark website it says to be continued? Anyone got any details

Love Finds a Home is the 8th and final book in the Love Comes Softly series by Janette Oke. They might be continuing the movie series with Mrs. Oke's books entitled A Prairie Legacy series. They are four books that are a continuation of the Love books. Taking place some 20 years after the end of Love Finds a Home. Hope that helps a little :)

I didn't know that Janette Oke had written more on the Love Series--thanks for the info! I stopped watching the movies after the third one--I loved the books so much, and they changed them beyond all recognition in the movies. When they killed off Willie LaHaye they totally lost me! I was very disappointed. I will be checking out the Prairie Legacy books, though. Thanks!!!!

The Prairie Legacy books are really good! They focus on one of the daughters of Belinda Simpson. But since the Abiding Joy movie, the movies are so different than the books who knows how they will write the storyline (if they decide to continue the movies)?!

I really love the first 3 movies of this series. But after the 4th, they haven't been HORRIBLE. At least the movie storylines coincide. I watched Love Finds a Home when it was on TV. I thought it ended well.

I guess the one positive thing I can say is that the movies have still be heavily grounded in the Christian faith as the Janette's books have always been. I did like how they focused a little bit more on Belinda's job as a doctor that the books lightly touched on.

They are making more that are based on characters from the first book and / or mentioned in the first book, but they are not based on books by Janette Oke.

Chronologically speaking this seems to be the last one... and where my "Clark Davis' Family Tree" ends.

There's something about these ten movies... romantic drama, sure. There's American's old western, there's romance, and true love, but... every time I watch each and every one of these movies there's a weird, sad feeling about them. Like... they did achieve love and happiness in the end but there's like a suppressor in me that keeps me from feeling all-out happy for them. I can't seem to smile broadly and shout out "Huzzah!" for them like I did in most other Hallmark movies, and almost cried during some parts; only a slight sigh and an emptiness inside, like a survivor from a pyrrhic victory... I don't understand.
