Surgery is first-line treatment!

with many cancers, if the tumor is unresectable, chemotherapy can be used palliatively. assuming primary maligant intraspinal schwannoma. but this is a sarcoma, which is not responsive to chemo. radiotherapy is more effective.

neoadjuvant chemotherapy before surgery???

My understanding was that they were aiming to shrink the tumour with chemo in order to make the inevitable surgery less risky.
