Dear Graham Fuller of Vanity Fair,

Today I borrowed the movie 50/50 from my local branch of the public library. When I looked at the cover of the DVD I saw an apparent excerpt from a review, quoting you as saying this movie is "a laugh-out-loud comedy."

I must inform you that I have watched this movie and not one single laugh was had. Not one.

So, what I would like to know from you is, who supplies the drugs you must have been taking when you made your profession of faith? Clearly you were in some altered state of consciousness when you were struck with the fits of laughter which prompted your absolutely erroneous assessment. I'm not asking because I want to experience the same "high". I'm asking because I want your drug dealer taken off the street. Then I want you arrested for betraying the public trust by endorsing a decidedly unfunny movie as a comedy. Then I want you to apologize to me personally for misleading me.

I'll be waiting patiently for your response.

If you didn't laugh during this movie, you have no idea what humor is. This movie was extremely funny and very moving. I'm not sure that I have ever seen a movie that balanced comedy with drama as successfully as 50/50 did. Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon Levitt both pulled off amazing performances that were equally funny and touching.

Couldn't agree more! Seth Rogens performance shocked me it was so good!

Wrong place to post rhis, but you are right, it should have said 50/50 50 percent laughs and 50 sadness

The writer said something like that, how life can be one minute hilarious and the next minute scary.

Your subjective opinion is that you didn't find it funny. Objective study of it (or a natural/discernible sense of humor) would tell you that it is full of humor and has plenty of funny scenes.
