This I'll watch

I stopped watching "Fear the Walking Dead" after the first season, because it was crap.
Tried watching "TWD World Beyond" stopped after first episode
This seems more promising than those two dumpster fires

This will be a bonified shit show. I'm done with the TWD universe. They wasted enough of my time already.

Signed, million man.

Daryl never had anything interesting to say. Negan was much more interesting character.

Yeah I made this post 3 years ago
I might watch the negan spinoff but probably not this

reply

The Negan spinoff trailer looked dumb, but we'll see.

TWD was always at its best as an ensemble show. Whenever the episodes focused on just one or two characters for the entire hour…people tended to hate it. And yet, here we are….a show focused solely on Rick and Misschone (sp?)….a show just about Daryl….a show just about Maggie and Negan.

Are you kidding me? These are some terrible ideas. TWD as a whole was much greater than its individual parts. It was also great because of Rick…..because it was shocking….we hadn’t really seen TV like this before….and, for a while anyway, the story was compelling. There were a lot of directions they could take this…because mankind, and the collapse of civilization was even more dangerous than the walkers.

But even then….there was so much more the writers could have done. What if animals started getting infected?! What if walkers could learn, and got “smarter”. Stuff like that!

Instead, we’re going to get TWD “watered down” individual stories. Let’s face it…Rick was the best thing about TWD universe. And all everyone wanted to see was: A) What happened to Rick….and B) Was a “cure” ever figured out??? Perhaps even C) How the heck did the ZA start in the first place?

Once Glenn was gone, it was the beginning of the end. Rick leaving WAS the end.

I’ll watch the one with Rick and Misschone to see Rick again. But they needed to wrap his story arc by reuniting him with his family and the remaining OG’s. If the producers are smart…they will figure out a way to bring them all together again.

Heck, I’m still pissed the producers of The Force Awakens didn’t get Han, Chewie, Leia and Luke in one effin scene together!
I mean…you had all 4 OG actors onboard for the film…and you couldn’t give them a scene together???!!

LOL! Don't get me started with the mess that was the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Lucas should have completed his own story.

I liked TWD because it showed how different people handled the collapse of society individually and as a group. At some point, they lost too many of the good characters including Rick. The Negan story dragged on and had horrible writing until they introduced the older Judith character. Best seasons were still the first 3 or 4.

I read the graphic novel which continued the Rick and Carl story line much further than the TV series. It's more satisfying. If you can, try to read the last three issues #191 to #193. At least there's a real ending.

My expectations are very low for the spinoffs. I just like the NYC and France settings and Carol may return. And I want to see them wrap up the Rick story. I believe the Daryl series will show how it started.

Now we're in S01E03 and let me answer here, cause my OPs are rarely successful. 😳

After the very first episode I almost gave up with Daryl.
Daryl rescued and nursed by nuns?! 🛌 🙏 🙏 🙏 ...are you kidding?!?!
Some good one-liners from Daryl, nice cinematography and settings 🇫🇷 kept me watching.

And I'm happy that I did, cause it becomes creepier and creepier.
SPOILERS follow SPOILERS follow SPOILERS follow SPOILERS follow SPOILERS

Episode S01E03 starts with a strange musician and his Walker-orchestra, classy! 🎵 🎶
Bizarre and macabre they move to well-known Ravel's Boléro.
The Boléro was actually planned as a ballet.
Is the Walker-orchestra supposed to be a "Danse Macabre" or Dance of Death?

When they arrive in Paris we hear the French version of "People are strange" by the Doors while they pass the grave of Jim Morrison.
Then the beheaded Eiffel Tower. *shiver*

And as I've already said to the very first episode, that creepy Laurent reminds me of the young Louis XIV., now even more. The Sun King was by no means a sunny guy, though he was certainly a strong King and probably good for France. ☼
Then again, how the people behave towards Laurent he's perhaps a kind of messiah.
The French Jesus. 😇

At the end of the very first episode they showed how Daryl escaped the naval ship.
The harsh female ship's captain ordered to catch Daryl and hired now the paramilitary man whose anyhow after Daryl because of his killed brother.
They experiment with Walkers.
Governor much?! *more shivers*

Great party under Paris in the catacombs, wonderful Club. 🥳
There's something going on in the "Demimonde"! ☠️ ☠️ ☠️
The Commenwealth (USA) had 'good' parties too...just saying.
And Daryl's haunters appear at that Club like the Nazis in Babylon Berlin's Clubs.
Now I'm all in...Vive la France!!! 🇫🇷
