Who is 'Dennis'?

I don't know if this has been answered before but, who is the 'Dennis' Roy keeps trying to contact and does he have any relevance? I couldn't make him fit into any part of the story. Similarly was their any relevance to his handle 'Leviathan' and Dennis's 'sex god'?,
