Endhiran Copycat

This will be definitely heartbreaking news for millions of fans of Endhiran and Shankar. But can't avoid the truth. Here is the link, where is the proof that Mr.Shankar has copied from various hollywood movies, especially stole the main plot from flopped Hollywood movie "Making Mr.Right" starring John Malkovich as scientist as well as robot. what a shame.

The above link pertains to Hollywood movie "Making Mr.Right" where Mr.Shankar stole the main plot.

Interesting fact is that "Making Mr.Right" was huge flop in USA because of its idiotic plot, but the same plot worked so well in India. It shows that Indian film makers always rely on either Hollywood movies or world cinema and make a movie and claim it as their own. Most clever thing is Indian film makers always steal the plot from flopped Hollywood movies which were not released in India. Best example, Nolan's "Memento", which was not released in India and also didn't do well at box office in USA. But in Tamil and Hindi, it was remade as "Ghajini", it did wonders at box office.

I firmly believe, even Mr.Oliver Stone cannot deny this fact. However, he couldn't express actual opinion, that too, in front of Indian public and media, that Endhiran's plot was totally unoriginal. If he would have expressed, then our people would have called racist white pig.

Only question comes to my mind is that when will our Indian film makers make original movies? When will our Indian audience do become most intelligent audience in the world? hmmm..... only God Knows....

I've seen enough bollywood flicks to know that they don't do anything with originality.

The earliest memory was when a Pakistani friend was telling me about a romance flick where a guy falls into a coma and the girl infatuated with him falls for his brother. I gave away the ending, she wondered how I knew. I told her because it's called "While you were sleeping"

Of course, there's also Bollywood Superman

But if you're watching a Bollywood flick for originality you're watching the wrong genre.

You can't say that 100% Bollywood movies are unoriginal. There are some wonderful movies made by Bollywood which has the originality. For e.g, "Taare Zameen Par", "A Wednesday", "Lagaan", "Anbe Sivam" (Tamil Movie)etc. There are very few films which i have admired deep to the core. But movie like this Endhiran are completely shame to India.

Fact is: stories from Bollywood movies are most likely to origin from other movies. Yes. But as it is not just a rip-off and has it's own charm, I'm fine with it!

"Endhiram" has it's own charm. Say what you will, it has. I'm not saying, it's a good film... or original... oh no, but it's likeable! And apart from obvious similarities to other movies, it doesn't feel like "Making Mr.Right" or other films (come on... Endhiram is far more ridiculous :))!

Trashy indian sci-fi Action... hell yes, why not :)!
