Edits

Can someone confirm how many edits have been made in the DVD releases? I'm told I need to order the stand-alone Halloween Special, because the version included with Season 2 is cut. What else should I look out for? Perhaps I imagined it, but I'm sure that Detective Finney putting the pencil in Jennifer's hand, and placing it near Joy's neck, after stabbing the latter in the neck, is cut from the DVD version. If so, why? Ditto other edits. Thanks.
