Looking for answers

So I've been watching all the seasons of Power Rangers in order. I grew up with it and watched it for many years but I quit somewhere in the middle of Lost Galaxy, it just wasn't the same, to me Countdown to Destruction was the true end. I then hated Power Rangers for changing everything. However, in the past few years my interest has come back after seeing bits of Tommy on DinoThunder and other things returning. I know Tommy came back but I don't want to know anything else, that I don't already.

I'm watching them all now, I just finished Space (again) and I'm now on Lost Galaxy, and I plan on going through until I'm caught up.

I've heard rumors that it may have been canceled. How did this get started and has it been confirmed or denied? I've also heard that it may have not been but if so, was it ever canceled? Or if not can we just assume that its days are numbered> I'm trying to avoid message boards as much as possible to avoid spoilers. I've seen just about nothing past Lost Galaxy.
