Much more comedy than romance!

This is one of those Christmas movies that is invariably described as "cute". Two "old friends" from the same town travel together from New York to Colorado just before Christmas while almost everything goes wrong along the way. This is broad comedy, so I'm not expecting too much realism, but they spend one night in an uninsulated railroad car with a cow, and another in the back of a van. It's late December in the mid-west, and they are both wearing heavy coats, but have no hats, gloves, or blankets. Wouldn't that be just a little bit COLD? And why, after entering Kansas, do they suddenly find themselves in Nebraska (with mountains) while heading to Colorado? Still, if you can overlook the general nuttiness, this movie is both fun and yes, cute. It's not a masterpiece, but I'll give it 7/10.
