I played some of the first level and so far it's good. Not as great as the others, and you can tell the differences (doesn't feel made by the Japanese?), but nonetheless I'm liking it.

Definitely doesn't seem like a terrible game so far after all the criticism. It might not be as good as the others, but I still like it...so far.

How are the controls for silent hill homecoming?

Easy controls. Nothing difficult to control and similar to the other SH games.

Some sequences require tapping X repeatedly during a cut-scene etc.

Game is getting better and more Silent Hill-ish.

The dodge button kinda sucks...but everything else is solid.
