I found the Needlers to be a bit easier. Not by much though. But as for using shotguns on Schisms, of course that would be the easiest way to take them down, but you're not showered with ammo in the game. But there is alot if that makes sense. At first when you first play the game, you wanna save your ammo(cause supposedly it's rare as hell) so you use melee. But that's the problem. Trying to melee Schisms can be a real bitch especially in crowded places like the police station. But overall when I beat the game and replayed it, I found out that I didn't need the f^cking ammo for bosses and that there was actually plenty of it in the game, so I just wasted Schisms with the shotgun on the second play through. Now that I have gotten the UFO ending and the blaster gun I can gladly f^cking kill everything I run into, even on the streets, and laugh.

Schism is not that hard. I just wait for them to charge, then you dodge, then you just go crazy with the knife until they die. Simple as that.

Well in crowded halls it's a pain when dodging. Every time they do the charge, I dodge but they still some how grab me every time. Maybe I just suck at dodging these creatures, but I buckshot them every time now.

I'm in the hotel and those bloody nurses are kicking my ass! They are impossible to dodge and impossible to run away it's just SLICESLICESLICESLICESLICESLICESLICE and I'm dead. Great game btw.

After metal, everything else in your life got the volume turned down.

Smogs are the most annoying, I hate those bastards. Everything else can be dealt with swiftly by a few flicks of the knife, I save all my ammo for smogs.

Nurses for me. Like someone said, if they see you they just go SLICESLICESLICESLICE *dead*. I found Smogs horrible to deal with as well. Mainly because my timing was terrible and I just choked on its damn smoke all the time.

If alex smoked he wudnt have that problem with smogs, I reckon Schisms are the worst purely based on the ammount of damage they can do one slash can take your health down to like 2/3. The nurses are pretty easy when you know how to kill em properly but needlers are the other hardest ones coz they block most shots and require virtually nothing but melee

The enemies in this one were by far the easiest for me, personally.
I think I died once throughout the whole game, and the boss was wayyyy too easy.

Perhaps you didn't leave yourself with enough ammo?
I always recommend lots of separate save files, just in case this happens.

For me, I would rank the Schisms as the hardest. I killed that Scarlett boss EASILY in a couple minutes, by first beating her ass with the steel pipe, then I switched to the Ceremonial Knife and went crazy, slicing her left and right, and dodging her every other second. The Needlers are hard at first, but once you learn how to dodge them, you can kill them easily. The Nurses - if you do two quick attacks followed by a heavy attack you can take them out easily. As far as the other bosses, i.e., Sepulcher, Amnion and even Asphyxia, you have to learn a pattern of fight, dodge, fight, dodge, and then you can kill them. I also killed the Asphyxia in a couple minutes. One of the EASIEST bosses to me. I'm playing thorugh a second time now trying to get the laser pistol.

You use the steel pipe against Scarlet? Weren't you supposed to have the Crowbar by then?

I didn't get the Crowbar the first time; second time I did, and it helped, but not as well as the steel pipe. Then, on my 3rd playthrough, I just used the laser gun on all the bosses, and whipped their asses royally, ROFLMMFAO!!!!! Especially, Scarlet - she became QUITE a bloody mess thanks to the laser gun.

Nurses: Best weapon is the knife, Quick slashes (x)

Dogs: Knife, 3 or 4 quick slashes (x) then dodge (o)

Needler: Best Weapon is Axe. Once you get up close, use the following combo: (x), (Square), (x), then quick block with (o). Even if it doesn't seem like you are damaging it- trust me you are. Repeat the combo 3-4 times until dead. If you time the combo correctly, you shouldn't take any damage.

Schism: Best weapon is crowbar. Block a couple of times with (o) then use the (x),(square),(x) combo repeatedly to take them down.

Not sure of the other enemies yet- that smog enemy still kicks my ass, but I can usually ignore then as they are pretty slow-moving.

Ferals are the most annoying to me; they pop up almost outta nowhere.

As far as bosses, I have to say Amnion is probably the hardest one (I had a devil of a time beating in the first run through), but its worth it for the good ending.
