I really hope it did. I'm aware that English Canadian films rarely make money theatrically, but Peter Stebbings put his personal savings into the production of this film according to Wikipedia. And according to http://www.thestar.com/printArticle/564075 , it really looked bad for him as he was making the movie.

I hope that the film's release and the subsequent deal with Sony got it its money back. It mentions a seven figure deal here http://www.thestar.com/printArticle/564075 , so maybe the movie got its budget back at least.

Any other news out there?

I do not think it did. It was released on too few screens and there was too little promo for it.

I doubt he's ever going to get his money back.
