Uh...What awards did this win...because...

I'm not really seeing it.

The acting was just plain bad. As in, the actors are just reading off of scripts, there is no believability--bad. The direction was awful. I realize you can only do so much with a small budget but if that's the case, lower the scale of your film down to a feasible size.

The technical aspects--writing, direction, lighting, sound, editing, are all very amateurish. They're just straight-up bad.

The dialogue was "meh". There was a throwaway line about solar energy somewhere that was completely contrary to the truth about solar energy. I don't remember exactly what it was but I remember thinking the writer should research these things more before putting them on paper. At any rate, to get the energy output from solar energy he was supposedly looking for, he'd need the entire neighborhood paneled and outputting their energy to the machine. Solar cells do not have a high energy output at all. This is why we all don't use them: They're expensive as hell and barely supplement the total energy usage in a typical household (better technology simply doesn't exist yet).

The flow is all off. The tone of the film is just awkward. This should probably have been a short film or something. They could have cut dialogue and a ton of scenes (or at least shortened them) and come out with a better product. As it is, the movie drags and is really boring.

Better luck next time.

Yep. That's about the size of it.

I'm only half way through and I keep asking myself "why is this scene in the movie?" and "who is this character and why is she in the movie?" Seriously, half of what I've seen so far has been padding, and not even interesting padding.

"I've seen things that would make you want to write a book on how to puke."
