The acting isn't meant to be good. It's meant to tell the story. And the story in general are awful.

Yes, they were meant to tell the story, with hilariously bad acting. About half of it.

Narrator Lynnanne Zager's over-the-top narration provides the other half.

Why was this series made in Australia?

I wish I could be more professional about some of the horrific stories presented, truly. It's as if that even in the 21st century, there are those who do not believe women can kill. For any reason. Anyone familiar with the name Elizabeth of Bathory? Her story is as authentic as any known today, as hideous and heartbreaking as any man's ever was.

Sparing us gruesome re-creations, and occasionally showing us a mug shot of the deadly women themselves are the only redeeming features. I am hoping to find to Message Board post about viewers who have stopped watching. There I will deal with Candice DeLong.
