Actress playing Isabel is so bad

Is Ida Jorgensen just the worst actress ever or is it the fact that English doesn't seem to be her first language? I know it's hard to find good child actors but it seems like they didn't even try! As bad as Jordi Molla is, he is good compared to the girl. I see that the girl has not done any other movies or shows, so it's possible she is a friend of the producers or something like that. She is not a trained actor in my opinion. Catherine McCormick is always wonderful and she does not disappoint in this. She is by far the best thing in this boring movie.

I completely agree. She was absolutely TERRIBLE. No character or expression at all.

I usually am pretty forgiving of child actor performances but you are absolutely right about Jorgensen. So bad it took you right out of the movie. Besides McCormack the whole cast was pretty bad though, and I don't think it had anything to do with most of them having English as a second language. They just weren't good actors.

I thought she did a pretty good job acting as a child with a ton of emotional baggage. Have you ever worked with disadvantaged kids? They are very reserved, quiet, show little emotion or energy. Either by accident or intent, she nailed it!

reply

She was god awful. I can't believe she auditioned good enough to get the part

I agree with sstarl1324. I thought the girl's acting was ok. Perhaps she will not win the best actress award but for a character who has lost her parents she played the role quite well. Of course that is just my opinion and an opinion is all we can have on the matter.

Seriously? I can't have an opinion about a child actors performance? And no, it isn't 'bullying'.

The actress is just too wooden. She seems to have 2 expressions, and that doesn't bode well for a role like this.

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
